Produce A Track In A Weekend At Real World Studios
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Aspiring music producers are being given the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of artists like Rudimental and Kanye West by recording tracks in the inspirational setting of Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios in Wiltshire.

During the two-day, immersive BeatCamp music experience, participants will be matched up with another music producer and tasked to create a track together. At the end of the weekend, the finished tracks will be released as an album on iTunes.

Those selected to take part will receive masterclasses and critique from figures including Matt Black, founder of Ninja Tune and half of music duo Coldcut; Chris Hughes, Tears for Fears producer; and David Bates, the A&R behind Dire Straits, Tears for Fears and Wet Wet Wet. They will also have access to professional session musicians and singers and well as getting the opportunity to hear their mixes through Peter Gabriel's famous SSL 9000 XL K desk.

The studios are located in a two hundred year old water mill surrounded by stunning countryside in Wiltshire. World-leading artists choose the creative freedom of recording in its natural environment of light and water, which is far removed from the confines of inner-city recording studios.

The project is a partnership between Real World Studios and BeatCamp, a provider of collaborative workshops which matches up music producers and helps them to finish more music and get signed. It will take place during the weekend of 6-8 May, tickets starting from £795 per person with the option of full board boutique accommodation at the studios.

Marc Langsman, co-founder of BeatCamp, explains: "Most music producers dream of working in a place like Real World Studios. It's a chance to escape their home studios and be creatively inspired in a truly rockstar setting.

"Some of the biggest tracks of recent years were the result of artists working together with others. Collaborating shows you a different way of working that can push and inspire you. At BeatCamp, we carefully match producers together based on their music styles and interests, and so many of our past participants have continued working together and have even released tracks together. It's a long-term investment."

Tim Oliver from Real World Studios, explains: "Our studios offer a unique and inspirational environment allowing absolute freedom for artists to create, perform, record and mix their music. The state-of-the-art facility has played host to many of the world's leading artists and has produced many a well-known record over the last 30 years and more. As well as being home to WOMAD festivals and Real World Records, we have several specialist producer rooms on site."
