UMPG Celebrates Artist J Balvin's Win Of BMI Latin Contemporary Song Of The Year For "Ay Vamos" And Billboard #1 Chart Run
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Latin Superstar J Balvin, Jody Gerson, UMPG Chairman and CEO, and Evan Lamberg, UMPG President - North America, celebrate Balvin's win of BMI 2015 Contemporary Song of the Year for his reggaeton megahit "Ay Vamos" at the 23rd annual BMI Latin Awards.

"Ay Vamos," which was Balvin's lead single from his third studio album, La Familia B Sides (Universal Music Mexico), has also won a Latin Grammy for Best Urban Song, received a Billboard Latin Music Award nomination, and garnered over 764 million video views on VEVO. The BMI Award win comes on the heels of Balvin's eight Billboard Latin Music Award nominations and a remarkable chart run with his smash hit single "Ginza," which has been No.1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart for 22 consecutive weeks.

In addition, UMPG writers also took home seven other BMI Latin Awards for the most-performed songs of the past year on U.S. radio and television. These included: Juanes ("Una Flor"), J Balvin ("Ay Vamos"), Juan Luis Guerra ("Tus Besos"), Chino & Nacho ("Tu Me Quemas"), Adrian Pieragostino ("Mi Amiga Amante Amor"), Jesús Lenín Cota Ramírez ("El Agüitado") and Horacio Palencia ("Sigue").
