New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Radio City Music Hall Show To Be Video Streamed Live With Donation To Benefit Non-Profit Organizations

Today, Michael Dorf has announced the final additions to the line-ups for the sold-out The Music of David Bowie tribute shows taking place this week at Carnegie Hall (3/31) and Radio City Music Hall (4/1).

Dorf is also proud to announce that the Radio City Music Hall show will be available for live video web streaming on April 1st. Through a partnership with the Melodic Caring Project, a non profit who streams live concerts into the hospital rooms of critically ill children, this concert will be available to a global audience. The stream will be accessible with a minimal $5 donation made via the ammado donation platform, with 100% of the revenues going to the non-profit organizations benefiting from the concerts. Receive your streaming link by making a donation at: https://musicofdavidbowie.com

Patti Smith and Eugene Hutz (Gogol Bordello) will join the star-studded lineup to honor David Bowie at Carnegie Hall on March 31. Esperanza Spalding, Kyp Malone (TV On The Radio) and Ron Pope will perform at Radio City Music Hall on April 1.

Tony Visconti, the Grammy-winning producer who worked on 13 of Bowie's albums including his last one, will also serve as leader of the house band Holy Holy and as the shows musical director. Holy Holy features Visconti on bass and Woody Woodmansey on drums, both original members of The Spiders from Mars.

The Music of David Bowie concerts will benefit the following organizations: Young Audiences New York, Little Kids Rock, Church Street School of Music, The Center For Arts Education, TON, Grammy in the Schools and the D'Addario Foundation. Over one million dollars have been raised to date by Dorf's annual Carnegie shows.

Michael Dorf is uniquely suited to create the impressive and eclectic rosters he assembles each year as a founder of two seminal NYC music venues: the Knitting Factory, which he started in 1987 and sold in 2002, and City Winery, the venue he founded in 2008 in NYC, that now has locations in Chicago and Nashville, and will expand to Atlanta and Boston this year. For nearly thirty years, he has programmed for stages across the globe.

Working alongside him as an Associate Producer for the show is Shlomo Lipetz, City Winery's National Programming Director. For the past 8 years, Lipetz has been overseeing the musical programming in all of the City Winery's locations.
