New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Following on from ZAYN's smash hit debut single 'Pillowtalk', which was the fastest selling single of 2016 in the UK week of release, his debut album 'MIND OF MINE' has topped the album charts in the UK to acclaim from critics and fans alike.

ZAYN comments: "I want to thank all the fans and my team at RCA and First Access Entertainment for everything they have done to help me start my journey as a solo artist. It really is the beginning. I can't believe that I have managed to achieve this as a solo artist. I am very proud coming from Bradford achieving this in my home country. Its mind blowing to me. I don't take the support I have received for granted. My life at 23 could have been very different."

As the epitome of a contemporary artist and reflecting how he and his fans sit at the forefront of how music is consumed in the modern era, Mind of Mine has also slammed streaming records, making ZAYN's album the highest streamed debut for a British Male since album streams were introduced to the chart. This week he is also three million streams ahead of Rihanna and ahead of The Weekend, Major Lazer and Coldplay worldwide.

ZAYN marked the release of his album with an intimate show in New York City last Friday, where fans witnessed him performing his tracks to an audience for the first time. Please watch his performance of 'Like I Would' below:
