New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Music & Arts will host 40 unique "Upgrade Your Sound" events in cities across the U.S. this season.
"Upgrading your gear is essential as you continue to become a better player. The more variety, the better so you're not limited in what you can try out.

Music & Arts just announced it will host its largest "Upgrade Your Sound" event tour to date. The company released the full schedule which will include 40 events in multiple cities across U.S. through the end of May. The popular event tour will feature a larger selection of musical instruments and accessories than previous years and will remain free to the public.

"If you're a woodwind, brass, or orchestral musician, 'Upgrade Your Sound' will be an awesome experience for you," said Steve Zapf, president, Music & Arts. "You will never find a larger assortment of instruments under one roof at the prices we'll be offering."

New this season is Music & Arts' partnership with instrument accessory manufacturer, D'Addario. As part of the partnership, GRAMMY-award-winning artist Jeff Coffin will serve as an Upgrade Your Sound campaign ambassador. Coffin is a world-recognized saxophonist who plays for The Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and with his own group, The Mu'Tet. He is also a professor of saxophone at Vanderbilt University.

"Upgrading your gear is essential as you continue to become a better player," said Coffin. "The more variety, the better so you're not limited in what you can try out. That's the great thing about the 'Upgrade Your Sound' events; there's so much to choose from!"

The Upgrade Your Sound event tour will include two types of events: Horns of Plenty events will offer a large selection of woodwind and brass instruments while String Showcase events will offer orchestral instruments only. Each event will include special pricing and financing offers.

Other major music brands like Yamaha, Jupiter, Conn-Selmer will be featured at the events. Those not near a tour stop can visit one of Music & Arts' more than 140 locations to tryout upgraded instruments featured at the events.

"Selecting a new instrument is a very special process because as students advance musically, so should their instruments," said Tim Ricci, director of merchandising, Music & Arts. "We're excited to not only have our own instrument specialists at these events, but to also have representatives from some of the biggest music brands helping guide musicians as they choose their next instrument."
