The Leon Charney Report Ends After Over Two Decades On The Air
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) For over two decades The Leon Charney Report presented one-on-one organic conversations hosted by Leon Charney. Charney covered world events in politics, entertainment and business featuring an eclectic mix of international guests including Rudy Giuliani, Eli Wiesel, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Ed Koch and David Dinkins. The weekly TV show is broadcast locally and nationally on NYC Life, WMBC New Jersey and JLTV. It is also syndicated nationally as a podcast through NPR.

Leon Charney was best known as a successful New York real estate investor. However, politics always played an important role in his life. In 1978 Charney served as the unofficial adviser to former President Jimmy Carter in the negotiations of The Camp David Peace Accords. Following this political achievement, Charney created The Leon Charney Report in 1988. The show served to advance Charney's interest in the peace making process by bringing together different perspectives with a wide variety of guests from around the world. The Charney Report also covered a broad range of topics including: Local Politics, Foreign Affairs, the Middle East, Culture, Education, Entertainment and Religion.

Following the recent passing of Leon Charney, The Leon Charney Report will air its last TV broadcast on April 24, 2016. An archive of the historic show will be made available online with many episodes already accessible through the website at https://www.charneyreport.com and The Charney Report YouTube channel. The program continues online without Leon Charney as the host, but with the same concept as the original Leon Charney Report. The show will remain a relevant public affairs program. Details will be available at https://www.charneyreport.com or follow @CharneyReport on Twitter.
