New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lakeshore Records will release the 400 DAYS � Original Motion Picture
Soundtrack digitally on May 6, 2016. The album features the film�s original music by Wojciech Golczewski (DARK SOULS, WE ARE STILL HERE).
400 DAYS by Matt Osterman and New Artists Alliance is a psychological sci-fi film centering on four astronauts who are sent on a simulated mission to a distant planet to test the psychological effects of deep space travel. Locked away for 400 days, the crew�s mental state begins to deteriorate when they lose all communication with the outside world. Forced to exit the ship, they discover that this mission may not have been a simulation after all.
�This score was created to set the general mood and atmosphere, especially for the first half of the film,� said Golczewski. �It�s claustrophobic, dizzy and brings all that stuff that can happen while you're locked for so long in small space with few other people to the surface. That is what I tried to underline with the music.�
Born in 1980, Wojciech Golczewski is a self-taught composer who began writing music in his teenage years. Though he studied fine arts, both at an arts high school and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, he decided to focus his professional efforts entirely on music.
Golczewski�s musical career started in the European demoscene, an art subculture where artists show off their programming and musical skills. Following a career in composing for video games including PlayStation 3 titles like Linger in
Shadows and Datura, the composer scored his first feature film with Eraser Children, an Australian sci-fi. His other recent scores include the Norwegian thriller Dark Souls, the Icelandic crime thriller City
State and the werewolf film Late Phases and last year�s WE ARE STILL HERE, which was nominated for the
Fangoria Chainsaw Award.
Syfy Films present 400 Days, currently available on VOD and DVD. Lakeshore Records will release the 400 DAYS � Original Motion Picture
