New York, NY (Top40 Charts) What the press are saying:
"Wonky slacker rock...an ode to the self-deprecation that backbones grunge" - Louder Than War
"A fuzz-drenched slab of burnt out slacker-influenced grunge pop" - Artrocker
Brilliantly thick and sludgy, with an edge of brutality Getintothis
Leeds grunge-pop duo NIGHT OWLS are pleased to reveal brand new track Call Me Out alongside announcing a string of UK live performances for spring and summer 2016 (details below).

Listen and share: https://soundcloud.com/nightowlsbanduk/call-me-out-mastered

The track is the latest to be taken from their debut EP Informaldehyde set for release on London independent label Till Deaf Do Us Party (JOHN, The Entrepreneurs, Classically Handsome Brutes) on 10th June 2016.

Call Me Out is about the damage that toxic relationships can do say the band about the new single Its about putting up with the same old shit every day from someone you lost feelings for a long time ago and being called out on every mistake you make. Its a song for someone you cant stand to be around anymore.

Another fuzz-drenched slab of burnt out slacker-influenced grunge pop, the new material is sure to build on the early attention theyve drawn from the likes of Louder Than War and Amazing Radio, with the duo making ripples on several Hype Machine blogs already on previous track Why Me?.

Informaldehyde is released 10th June via Till Deaf Do Us Party

2016 UK Live Dates:
2nd May - Brudenell - Leeds (w/ Bad Breeding)
13th May - Milo Bar - Leeds (w/ Grenadiers)
24th May - Brudenell Leeds - Goldsounds festival
9th June - Brudenell Leeds (EP launch)
10th June - BIRTHDAYS - London
6th August - The Windmill Brixton

Clawing their way out of the more twisted end of the miasmic swamp of the Leeds music scene thats previously birthed the strange sounds of the likes of Hawk Eyes, Black Moth, Hook Worms and Pulled Apart By Horses, the pair are focused on delivering a more refined and honed version of the grunge-laden lofi rock thats put Leeds squarely back on the international musical map in recent years.

Meeting over a mutual love of music in secondary school, they pull influence from the weirder end of the grunge spectrum, citing the likes of Nirvana, Pixies and Queens Of a The Stone Age as their main loves, with Savages and Warpaint also getting a nod.

Blurring the lines between music and art, particularly those that challenge boundaries and make people think, Night Owls are of the opinion that the darker side of life is nothing to shy away from, celebrating the silver lining of those sombre moments sent to try us.

Night Owls are:
Will Pollard - Lead Vocal, Drums
Liam Waddell - Backing vocals, Guitar
