New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Canadian quintet, Vesuvius, releases their debut album, "My Place of Solace and Rest" today. The highly anticipated record includes a feature from Ben English of Invent, Animate.
The band is extremely proud of the dedication that was put into the genre-bending album which includes enchanting melodies and brutal breakdowns which leaves the listener wanting more. Vocalist Billy Melsness explains, "For roughly 5 years now, I have been trying to pursue my lifelong passion of writing and performing music across the world with my best friends. This past year has been absolutely incredible for Vesuvius, and we're beyond exhilarated to finally be releasing our debut record, "My Place of Solace and Rest" via Tragic Hero Records."
Vesuvius kicked off their Canadian run of dates on 5/6 on the "My Place of Solace and Rest Tour pt I" with The Parallel. The tour wraps up on May 17th and then in July will start pt II of the tour, which will be the band's first time playing in the U.S. and features support from Change Is and Curses.
The band is extremely grateful for all the support they've gotten thus far, Melsness said, "thank you so much to everyone who has stood by us and had faith in what we do, our gratitude for each and every one of you is utterly stratospheric."
