MIAMI, FL. (UGA/ www.urbangospelalliance.com) - The Urban Gospel Alliance recently facilitated the Gospel Hip Hop portion of the Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Retreat, which included a 2-day panel discussion and showcase.

Hosted by Virginia Gospel Announcer's Guild V.P. Earl Bynum, the showcase featured EMI Gospel national recording artist Lil IROCC and highlighted 8 other UGA artists from throughout the U.S. Holding a captive audience and making an impact on the entire retreat, all artists who graced the stage kept the crowd on their feet. Dr Bobby Jones was especially impressed with the level of ministry and crowd reaction as many in attendance rushed the stage.

Dr Jones personally came to the Gospel Hip Hop panel discussion the following day to congratulate UGA Founder and National Director, Curtis Jermany, placing him in charge of the Gospel Hip Hop component for the next retreat. He also announced that the following year would feature a full night of Gospel Hip Hop to be taped by the Word Television Network. (www.thewordnetwork.com )

Other highlights of the retreat include a taped Urban Gospel Showcase featuring DJ Lady Grace, with performances by Kierra "KiKi" Sheard, Miami Mass, Ted & Sheri, Brent Jones, Half Mile Home, Kiera Sheard, Stephen Hurd, and others.

The 16th International Gospel Retreat is expected to return to Miami during May of 2005, and again participants from all facets of the gospel music industry are expected to attend. Mark your calendars now for this industry event that provides networking opportunities and a wealth of knowledge through classes with top gospel music insiders including Alvin Williams, Max Siegel, Tara Griggs McGhee, and many more.
