New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Bees
Deluxe release their latest CD Bluesapocalypse just in time to celebrate their debut at the Bull Run Concert Series. They open for the Darrell Nulisch Band on Saturday, June 11th.
Boston's most eclectic acid blues band, Bees Deluxe, created and hosts Bluesapocalypse, an annual benefit for the Arlington Center for the Arts. For the past two years, Bluesapocalypse has attracted hundreds of music fans who are lucky enough to score tickets to this sold-out event.
This year, after the second encore, a fan slipped the sound engineer a bootleg recording of their entire performance, and it's in the spirit of sharing that this CD was created.
Bees Deluxe, led by guitarist & vocalist Conrad Warre, explore acid blues, rock and Blue Note era jazz and mixes original tunes with their own take on Billie Holiday, J.B. Lenoir, Joe Zawinul, Amy Winehouse, the Meters, Miles Davis,
Robben Ford and Etta James.
Joining Warre on stage at the Bull Run show on June 11th are Carol Band on keyboards, Allyn "Aldo" Dorr on bass and Patrick Sanders on drums. The Bull Run, a 200-year old tavern in Shirley, Massachusetts attracts top-name artists. Johnny Winters, Matt Scofield, Blue Oyster Cult, John Hiatt, Marcia Ball and Los Lobos have all appeared on the stage. Bees
Deluxe are honored to join their ranks. Darrell Nulisch is a former vocalist frontman for
Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters and the
James Cotton Band. The Bull Run is at 215 Great Road, Shirley, Massachusetts.
