SHERMAN OAKS, CA. (Corner Stone Pictures/ www.cspics.com) - Grammy-winning rapper Coolio (Dangerous Minds, Batman & Robin) has signed on to appear in Corner Stone Pictures' comedy "Retirement." Coolio plays "Flow" a mentor/rapper and nephew of Ossie Davis' character "Marvin."
Additionally, accomplished comic and veteran actor Taylor Negron (The Last Boy Scout, Angels in the Outfield, Flintstones 2) has also signed on. Negron will play one of two flamboyant bus drivers who starts the old men on their trip to Las Vegas but ends up on his own ill-fated escapade. The other driver will be Mario Cantone (Sex in the City, Mouse Hunt, The Quiz Show).

Also signing on this week are Chris Diamantopoulos (Law & Order, Third Watch, Charmed), to play a pivotal role, and up and comer Nancy Young to play the romantic lead. Diamantopoulos is set to play Robin Williams in an untitled Robin Williams biography for NBC.
"We have a very seasoned ensemble cast spanning all age groups from twenty-somethings to retirement age in this film," said director Charles Picerni. "Our casting director, Jackie Burch has expertly assembled for us a cast I'm delighted to work with, I think we have the recipe for a very funny picture."
"For this Indy film we've managed to get a studio cast, said producer Michael Pietrzak. "I've been a fan of these actors all my life, I'm looking forward to working with them."

The comedy centers on four grumpy old men who wind up having to go on a road trip to see if they can stop one of their daughters from marrying the wrong guy. What happens along the way is where all the fun starts.
Principle photography is set to start Feb 2004 in South Beach, Florida with veteran cinematographer Tom Priestly Jr. lensing.
