Introducing Katie Rose
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Katie Rose started her journey at the young age of five when she began her first day of piano lessons. Since then its been a roller-coaster of learning new things and discovering what artist she should be. At the age of seven Rose scored the only solo in her school play. The moment she opened her mouth to sing she knew this is what she wanted to do. Despite all the other kids changing their minds every so often, hers never faltered. Music was her passion and thats what she was going to do.

By the age of twelve she was going to Charleston County School of the Arts for piano and being trained in guitar on the side. Rose started doing small things like open mic nights but knew she needed to expand her venues if anyone was to take her seriously. Along the way she met another girl with a similar dream and they later paired up to form the duo, Katina Rose. The girls were known for their powerful harmonies and strong friendship, but sadly, not everything can last. After a 9-month trip around the U.S. where Rose performed in different cities like, L.A., San Francisco, San Diego, and Nashville, the two ended things. The breakup sent Rose into a downward spiral of self-doubt and anger. With the help of music she was able to pull herself out of that dark hole and begin the next step in her journey. Original music has always been such a big part of her life so she took this passion and began writing songs about how she felt, and how tomorrow would be better. Thus, Everything Yesterday was born. Those dark days pushed Rose into becoming the best musician she could be. Proving herself helped shape the young artist into who she is today. Katie is an avid Marvel, Star Wars, and Harry Potter nerd. She often spends her free time watching scary movies and freaking out over the latest comic-to-screen gossip. With the help of music and her nerdy passions, Rose has found true happiness again.

Through some local friends Rose met Rodney Liles Jr, a drummer looking to join a band. The two hit it off and Liles brought in his friend and past bandmate, Andrew Chalk, to play guitar. The bassist was harder to find but eventually they struck gold with a classmate of Katies, Patrick Burns. All having different personalities and musical taste, when they get on stage together they just have a blast and it all seems to work. The quartet has performed at The Windjammer, Carolina Green Fair, The Rockumentary Series, Awendaw Green and The Charleston Earth Day Festival.

Everything Yesterday, recorded at Ocean Industries Studios with producers Jeff Leonard and Eric Rickert, will be released in August 2016. Lead single Wonder features a string section composed and recorded by Jay Clifford (Jump Little Children). Rose, a believer in all things original, plays guitar and piano, sings lead vocals and is the primary songwriter on each of the albums 7 tracks.
