Cory & Joey Of ASD Return To Tragic Hero Records
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Cory LaQuay and Joey Wilson had a history of playing music together when they were in A Skylit Drive. Both have since left the band and are now back together making music in their new project Avant Garde. A Skylit Drive has a long history with Tragic Hero Records so it was a natural fit that Cory and Joey would sign to THR for Avant Garde.
"I am happy to announce that Avant Garde is signed with Tragic Hero Records. Joey and I have been with Tragic Hero for the last 8 years, and have known Tommy and the crew for a long time. Great people, great friends, and we are happy to be back on the team!" explains Cory.
Avant Garde has been quiet with details about the new project; however, next week all will be revealed.

On July 7th, the band will be giving fans:
-EXCLUSIVE probing first interview with Alternative Press that will include Joey and Cory's personal take on their days with A Skylit Drive
-First listen to the lead-off single
- "Fire Walk With Me" album release date
- Pre-orders of "Fire Walk With Me"

The future is bright for this band and Joey couldn't be more excited about what's next to come. "It's such an amazing thing for us 'Avant Garde' to be signing to Tragic Hero Records, and to have a friend like Tommy LaCombe (Label President). It's rare to have a group of people who really believe in you and can give you the chance (again) to do what we are doing. I am truly grateful for this and excited for the future."
LaCombe added, "for the majority of my company's entire existence, I've worked with these guys in one capacity or another and it makes me proud that they want to be here. I'm very excited about the new project and I know that fans are going to love it."

About Avant Garde
Cory LaQuay and Joey Wilson got their whirlwind start in music in the post hardcore band, A Skylit Drive. Both LaQuay and Wilson were original members and there since the beginning with the band's first release, an the EP titled "She Watched The Sky" (2007). Together they went on to record 3 full lengths with the band, "Wires and The Concept of Breathing" (2008), "Adelphia" (2009) and "Identity on Fire" (2011).
2012 brought the departure of Wilson after the band finished up their run on the All Stars Tour. As they prepared for their show in the Philippines, Wilson decided it was time to move on and get his personal life together.
LaQuay continued on with the band as the drummer and was involved in the 2013 release "Rise". After being the drummer for ASD for 7 years, he decided that the band wasn't a project he wanted to be a part of anymore and announced he would leave the band.
Staying friends over the years and both sharing a passion for music, Wilson and LaQuay decided it was time to get together and start a new project and that became Avant Garde. In addition to writing the songs together, LaQuay is singing and Wilson is playing guitar.
The duo's debut album, "Fire Walk With Me" will be released in August 2016 and will be unlike anything fans have heard in the past.
