The International Music+Sound Awards Announce 2016 Finalists
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Among those shortlisted are Tapani Siirtola / Pusher LLC for composition on the 'Daredevil' trailer; Ardmore Sound for the sound on movie, 'Room'; Boom Box Post for the sound on TV show, 'The Lion Guard'; Universal Music Publishing / Tom Stanford at Platinum Rye for their placement of Elton John's Tiny Dancer in adam&eveDDB London's John Lewis Insurance ad; and Just Isn't Music for the Fink track in movie, 'Selma'

In their fifth year of celebrating the highly skilled craftsmanship in music and sound within the media, The Music+Sound Awards serve to highlight the extraordinary talents and achievements of those involved in these industries, providing a platform to hold aloft the best of the best.

Managing Director, Emma Maguire, has this to say,
"We're delighted to acknowledge the exceptional work from around the world shortlisted this year. There was no shortage of inspirational entries and we're thrilled at the increased reach we appear to have achieved. We congratulate all nominees and hope they feel proud that their work has endured such rigorous inspection from our brilliantly accomplished jury! We wish them all the best of luck."

The jury this year included distinguished industry figureheads, Mary Ramos, Music Supervisor (all Tarantino's movies), Sound Mixer, Adrian Bell (Everest), Rani Vaz, Director of Music at BBDO, New York and composers Joe Kraemer (Mission: Impossible 5, Jack Reacher) and Harry Escott (Michael Winterbottom's A Mighty Heart and The Road To Guantanamo, Nick Broomfield's Ghosts and Steve McQueen's Shame).

Music+Sound Awards' juror and sound designer, Will Cohen at String and Tins in London, says,

"I think The Music+Sound Awards are vital - they are judged by people who understand the amount of craft and detail that goes into a piece, and they tend to recognise work irrespective of the brand or the visual idea. They also bring many different corners of the industry together - it's an incredible showcase for what the music and sound world has to offer."

Winners will be announced at 4pm (GMT) on Thursday 14th July via the Awards' Twitter feed, @MASawards.
