Emmylou Harris Tours United States With Lyle Lovett
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Emmylou Harris kicks off a nine-city co-headlining tour with Lyle Lovett & His Large Band with two concerts in California this weekend: at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Friday and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday. The tour continues through the middle of August, with shows in Park City, Denver, Ravinia, Cincinnati, and upstate New York, culminating with two shows in Virginia, at the Sprint Pavilion in Charlottesville and at Wolf Trap outside DC. Harris also leads three of her own shows between dates with Lovett during that time, stopping in Wisconsin, Montana, and Idaho.

Later in August are three special performances with fellow iconic figures of Americana: a sold-out concert at the Biltmore estate in Asheville with Mary Chapin Carpenter; a Guy Clark tribute at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville featuring her recent duo-album partner Rodney Crowell as well as Steve Earle, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Vince Gill, Iron & Wine, and more; and a free show with John Prine at Roosevelt Arch in Montana to celebrate the National Park Service Centennial.

Earlier this year came the first worldwide vinyl release of Harris's groundbreaking, Grammy Award-winning album Wrecking Ball on Nonesuch. The new edition, pressed on three 180-gram vinyl, includes the original Daniel Lanois-produced album, remastered, along with several bonus tracks first released on the 2014 three-disc Nonesuch reissue of the album, which Uncut magazine called "a masterpiece." To pick up a copy, head to the Nonesuch Store now.
