Heiress To Atlas Flare Up With "Spark" EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Electro-pop duo, Heiress to Atlas, released their debut EP, Spark, an impressive collection of evocative, powerful and reflective anthems. The effort of Australian powerhouse singer, Vidya Sethu and New York producer, Marc Thomas, the EP skillfully captures the difficulties of love and loss, while still maintaining an upbeat outlook on both. Spark is now available for download on iTunes.

The self-produced EP contains four songs, including the lead singles, Alien Boy and Bullet. Spark chronicles the start and end of something a little more than a fling, and a lot less than a relationship a start, a Spark, of something that couldve been, explains Sethu. Distinguishing their tale from a typical love story, the duo reflects on what could have been while highlighting a strong protagonist able to recognize their own strength. The third song on the EP, Blaze, highlights this resilience, as Sethu challenges her anxieties by repeatedly screaming, let it blaze in the chorus. Blaze is near and dear to Sethus heart, as she wrote it to help overcome struggles that she had been facing at the time. I wrote this to myself as an encouragement to not be afraid of life, and to take creative and emotional risks, Sethu comments. The final song, Well Enough, is a passionate and commanding kiss-off track. Spark was recorded and mixed by expert Andrew Chavez (Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys) and mastered by Seth Von Paulus (Linda Perry, Celine Dion).

Vidya Sethu was drawn to music further back than she can consciously remember, singing before the age of three and going on to pursue vocal lessons and choir as soon as she was old enough. While music has always been one of her greatest passions, she had not initially intended to pursue a career in music. After finding her studies at Yale to be unsatisfying, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she began auditing classes at Musicians Institute before enrolling to pursue music full time. Heiress to Atlas was formed after Sethu and Thomas connected online and decided to collaborate based on a mutual love for synth pop. The two continue to write electronic pop anthems with vivid, contemplative lyrics that always find optimism.

Spark showcases what Heiress to Atlas do best navigate an emotive journey while still maintaining a tenacious and spunky electronic edge. Download Spark on iTunes today and keep up with the latest on Heiress to Atlas at HeiresstoAtlas.com.
