New York, NY (Top40 Charts) ole, the world's fastest growing independent rights management company, and New Kid on the Block Entertainment LLC have signed a deal that gives ole exclusive administration rights to singer/songwriter JJ Lawhorn.
Hailing from Hanover County, Virginia, JJ Lawhorn is an American country music singer/songwriter discovered online by ole songwriter and record producer Jeremy Stover when he posted a YouTube video singing a
Justin Moore cover song. Stover produced Lawhorn's 2013 debut album, Original Good Ol' Boy, which sold 4,000 copies in its first week of release, debuting at #20 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and #91 on the Billboard 200. The single "Good Ol' Boys Like Us" was released to country radio in 2014, praised as "a great lyric and a strong vocal performance" in a Taste of Country review. In 2016, Lawhorn released his EP Rural Route, which was produced by ole's Jeremy Stover and Andrew Petroff.
New Kid on the Block Entertainment LLC is a music publishing and management venture created by Stover and artist manager Pete Hartung.
