New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Despite their tongue in cheek attitude, Manchester thrash-punks Revenge of the Psychotronic Man (RPM) are getting serious about small venue closures in the UK on Hectic Danger Day, the latest track to be taken from their critically acclaimed third full-length album, the Alan Partridge homaging Colossal Velocity, out now on TNSrecords.

The song itself warrants no further explanation, with the matter-of-fact lyrics spelling out the dramatic plight facing hundreds of small venues up and down the UK: Theyre knocking down our venue to use it as a car park. Theyve boarded up the windows and theyre gonna tear it apart. Where will we go when we dont have any venues? Where will that leave independent music? Where will we go without our creative spaces? When its all gone how will we replace it? We dont need more flats or car parks, we still need a space for music. If your town has a great venue, please make sure you always use it. Support your local venues, support the collectives, support the cooperatives.

The video was shot by Mark Richards and sees RPM taking to some flattened car park ground, the fate that awaits beloved Manchester venue The Ducie Bridge, to thrash out a short and sharp set of punk rock to a hardened core of fans.

For more information on how to support your local venue, head to https://www.independentvenueweek.com/

RPM have been winning more and more fans right across the underground UK punk scene with their latest album, a 17 track monster crammed full of the kind of socially aware, witty and intelligent punk rock thats been hailed as their finest release to date by the likes of Kerrang! Magazine, Louder Than War, Vive Le Rock and many more blogs and zines.

The band also play at hallowed UK punk festival Rebellion in Blackpool this weekend on Sunday 7th August at 1.40pm on the Arena Stage, as part of a huge string of 2016 UK headline dates.

Colossal Velocity is out now on TNSrecords
