Amazon To Release Soundtrack To 'Mozart In The Jungle' Seasons 1 & 2
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On August 12 Amazon will release the soundtrack to seasons 1 and 2 of Mozart in the Jungle, the 2016 Golden Globe award winner for best series and best actor, starring Gael Garca Bernal.

The anticipated soundtrack is comprised of 10 of the most celebrated songs from the series, bringing together classical favorites and modern renditions, with tracks ranging from Roger Neills inspired arrangement of Listzomania, to fan favorite Clair De Lune, beautifully performed by the Attacca Quartet.

"The music in Mozart in the Jungle is not only the voice of the show, it's the inspiration for the show. It draws the characters together and raises the bar for the creative team to aspire to. Listening to and learning about the music leads us to answer the question is classical music dead? with a resounding no, stated executive producer Paul Weitz.

Executive producer Roman Coppola ads, "I grew up in a household that appreciated music(my grandfather was composer and conductor) and it seems every Sunday morning we had opera resonating throughout the house. By making the show, I was able to become exposed to and appreciate classical music all the more and hope, with the release of our record, that a whole new generation of people will get the pleasure of blasting some classical music on a Sunday morning.

The soundtrack will be available on August 12 for streaming on Prime Music in the US, UK, Germany, Austria and Japan. Prime members can listen to the entire album at no additional cost to their membership on compatible devices that support Amazon Music, including Amazon Echo, Fire devices, iPads, iPhones, Android devices, Sonos Players, the Web and moresongs can also be downloaded for offline listening on mobile devices. The soundtrack will also be available for all customers to purchase and download in MP3 format in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Japan.

Mozart in the Jungle is an Amazon Original Series comedic drama based on the critically-acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music by Blair Tindall. The series draws back the curtain on the world of music, where artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts. Starring Gael Garca Bernal (Salt and Fire), who was awarded the Golden Globe award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series, and Lola Kirke (Gone Girl), Mozart in the Jungle will come back for a third season, and continue the story of the talented musicians who perform and live with passion under the baton of its spirited conductor, best known simply as Rodrigo. Executive Produced by Roman Coppola (Moonrise Kingdom), Jason Schwartzman (The Darjeeling Limited) and Paul Weitz (About a Boy), season three will see Rodrigo and many musicians take their talents to Europe. Seasons 1 and 2 of Mozart in the Jungle are currently available for Prime members at no additional cost to their membership, through the Amazon Video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV and mobile devices, or online at Amazon.com/mozartinthejungle.
