D.O.A. Vs Dayglo Abortions Punk Rock Armageddon Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Legendary hardcore punk band D.O.A. are hitting the road again and will be joined by fellow punks Dayglo Abortions. Both bands have been actively creating music and touring since 1978 (D.O.A.) & 1979 (DGA) and show no signs of slowing down. Together they will bring western Canada their Punk Rock Armageddon Tour this September.

With D.O.A. based in Vancouver, BC and DGA in Victoria, BC the two bands have crossed paths many times over the last 35+ years.

I first met the Dayglos in 1979 on our second trip to Victoria and at that time they were called the Sick Fucks. The show was at the Leonardo Da Vinci Hall and a bunch of local boneheads who hated punk rock decided to come down and rough the punks up, well, they were in for a surprise, reflects D.O.A. founder Joe Keithley. Members of the audience and of the Dayglos went outside, ripped apart a neighbors picket fence, started beating on the local boneheads and soon had them on the run down the alley as fast as could run and beg for mercy at the same time. At that point, D.O.A. made the collective decision "Hey, Victoria punks are alright!"

D.O.A. have always been a political band addressing the important issues of the times. The bands latest album Hard Rain Falling continues the tradition with the songs The Cops Shot A Kid, Pipeline Fever and Racism Sucks. With the U.S. election D.O.A. have updated their Fucked Up Ronnie song from 1981 with Fucked Up Donald which is available on 7 and itunes.

Pipeline Fever https://youtu.be/80VoCyh6CYM

"When we heard about a chance to tour with our pals the Dayglos, we jumped at the chance, says Keithley. What great fun to renew our old school punk rock rivalry! It will be like an old time, wrestling match, yeah, like Punk Rock Armageddon!"
