Lewis Del Mar Announce Self-Titled Debut LP, Out 10/7 On Columbia
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rockaway Beach, NY duo Lewis Del Mar have announced details for their self-titled debut LP, out October 7 on Columbia. The full album is available for pre-order now: https://smarturl.it/LDMalbum.
'Lewis Del Mar' follows widespread praise everywhere from the NY Times, NPR, Billboard, Noisey and more. Single "Loud(y)" reached #1 on Hype Machine, #3 on Spotify's Viral 50 chart and was named one of Apple Music's "Best Alternative Songs of 2015." Watch the band perform that track on The Late Late Show with James Corden last month, with Corden himself saying "I really think this is going to be one of the biggest bands in the world!": https://bit.ly/29TYbj2.

The band's new single "Painting (Masterpiece)" will be impacting Alternative Rock radio officially in mid-September, but early airplay has already started with features on SiriusXM Alt Nation's Advanced Placement and the syndicated radio show '2 Hours With Matt Pinfield.' Listen to their interview with Pinfield here: https://bit.ly/2bLNq1P.

Four album tracks are streaming now and available for download with the pre-order. Listen below:

All of the album's 10 tracks were written and recorded by members Danny Miller and Max Harwood in their shared 400 sq ft bungalow in Rockaway Beach. The songs take inspiration from the gritty coastline the creative companions call home. What started as experimenting with samples of Latin percussion tones evolved into a capturing of the rhythms of daily New York life - iPhone notes and subway sounds, the crank of a turnstile or laughter from a nearby pub - to create a collision of influence and environment, an experimental pop cohesion uniquely their own.

This summer Lewis Del Mar toured the US supporting BØRNS, Glass Animals, Foals and Miike Snow and were festival favorites at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. This fall, in addition to festival slots at Austin City Limits, The Meadows, and Bumbershoot, they've confirmed their first headline tour. Full itinerary below.
