New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Max Restaino is an extremely talented young singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and producer. Hailing from Sheffield and at just 20 years old, Max has amassed a wealth of experience working with some of the biggest names in show business from
Gary Barlow to Donny Osmond, Geri Halliwell,
Olly Murs and even
Peter Kay.
He has toured all over the UK building up a steady fan base and has now been confirmed as the main support act for
Rebecca Ferguson on her 20 date UK tour in October and November, which includes The London Palladium.
Since last Summer Max has been busy writing and recording his debut album 'The Time It Takes', which will be released on the 21st October. Max has impressively produced all of the songs on this album. One of the tracks 'Fall' was submitted for an innovative TV series called Tin Pan Alley. The show, hosted by legendary
Radio 1 DJ Mike Read asked song writers from all over the UK to submit an unpublished song via the Tin Pan Alley website. These were judged over a six-week period by a panel of eminent judges.
"I submitted a song that I wrote called 'Fall' and didn't expect to hear anything back. One morning out of the blue I received an email saying that I had gone quite far in the competition and that the song would be featured on the program. It was a great experience and fun to work with Mike and his team and the program will air on the 2nd October on Showbiz TV for eight weeks."
The album points to Max's musical influences from Michael Jackson,
Supertramp and ELO which are prominent in his melodies and chords but with modern, club, pop production. This is particularly evident in two singles from the album, which are titled 'Give Me All Your Loving' and 'No'.
One song called 'Life Is Real' made it onto the album, which Max wrote when he was 11. The one song Max didn't write on the album is called 'Satisfied' which was written by Larry Van Kriedt. Larry taught Max to play saxophone when he was young and he was also was the original bass player of ACDC in the early 70s.
