New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Acclaimed rock and blues band The Great Fraud are thrilled to announce the release of their new album, American Dream. The Great Fraud are a highly soulful and energetic group with ties to a vintage era when music was created as art and for the purpose of truly touching the listeners heart, mind and soul. The songs on the album share the theme of people searching for happiness and success amid the current challenges that face Americans today. American
Dream is a snapshot of the American heart, strong and hopeful, yet scarred and torn between happiness and misery. American
Dream will be available on iTunes, November 15, 2016.
The majority of the tracks on American
Dream were recorded and produced with the help of engineer/producer Aady Pandit. Pandit's knowledge and dedication to sound quality helped guide the band in recording their most accomplished set of songs. A departure from The Great Fraud's debut album, Brass Balloon, American
Dream is great leap in the band's songwriting skills and their ability to deliver hard rock with emotion and passion. Songs like "Life is Good" tells the tale of the New Yorker who seeks fame and glory in Hollywood in exchange for his own hometown popularity. The title track, "
American Dream", explains some of the lies that people have been fed in
America and illustrates the passiveness of the American people who either consciously or unconsciously understand that the true American
Dream may be just an illusion for some, and a lifelong trap for others. The song, "Ya Ain't Got Love" focuses on the Hollywood starlet who has everything in life except for the one thing that matters most, love.
