New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Blind Pilot has shared its "Packed Powder" music video, which is now streaming through the Wall Street Journal. Directed by Christopher Good, the video was shot in the band's riverside hometown of Astoria, Oregon.

"To me the character in the song is talking about a past of trying on these different guises in a half-hearted attempt to please someone else," says Good. "Deep down, though, he can't shake the feeling that he's destined for something else. I feel like the video kind of mirrors that in a way, it keeps trying to be a fairly straightforward, literal illustration of the song's lyrics but repeatedly trails off into these flights of fancy, these surreal little tangents."

"Packed Powder" is the first music video from 'And Then Like Lions,' Blind Pilot's "elegant, thoughtful" (NPR Music) new album on ATO Records.

The "Packed Powder" video comes at an exciting time for Blind Pilot. The six-piece just taped a Tiny Desk concert at NPR headquarters, where they performed "Packed Powder" and three additional cuts from 'And Then Like Lions.' Blind Pilot was also the musical guest on a recent episode of CBS This Morning, where "Packed Powder" made its national television debut. The lush and rolling single continues to climb the AAA radio charts, breaking into the Top 20 this week.

The group has also announced new U.S. tour dates for January and February, performing in 19 new markets for the first time since 'And Then Like Lions' was released. On its initial run Blind Pilot has sold-out venues across North America, including two shows each at Los Angeles' Teragram Ballroom and New York's Music Hall of Williamsburg, and packed houses at The Fillmore in San Francisco, Thalia Hall in Chicago and the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. Blind Pilot has also played to sold-out crowds in Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, Toronto, Phoenix, San Diego and Vancouver, among others, on the summer/fall 2016 leg of their tour. The Oregonian recently deemed the band "Oregon folk-rock greats," with Pitchfork calling them "the crown jewels of Oregon's indie-folk scene."
