Crowdster Event Management & Fundraising Platform Selected To Support NYc Government And United Nations Chamber Music Society Concert, November 20, 2016
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On Sunday, 20 November 2016 at 3pm, the UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council will mark its Lincoln Center debut at a special concert at Lincoln Center dedicated to homeless people of New York, in collaboration with the NYC Department of Homeless Services. The event will be dedicated to people experiencing homelessness in the City of New York, and all funds will be directed to the Homeless Trust Fund.

At the concert, Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights, Mr. Andrew Gilmour, and Mr. Steven Banks, Commissioner at the Department of Social Services and head of the Department of Homeless Services of NYC, will deliver remarks. At this benefit concert for the homeless, repertoire by Schumann, Handel, Fauré and Massenet, and a piece from Cirque du Soleil PARAMOUR, specially arranged for the Society will be performed by the Society.

In addition, we will also hear for the first time, the chamber music arrangement of the Piano Concerto for the United Nations, which was officially composed by Michael Vongova for the UN's 70th anniversary. A special poetry reading will also be performed by Humans of New York. According to Brenda Vongova, President of the UN Chamber Music Society, "The UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council symbolizes our firm belief in the power of the universal language of music in bringing people and nations together to focus on humanitarian issues."
