Eventbrite Hires Senior Music Executive, Signs Secret Solstice
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Leading ticketing and event technology platform Eventbrite has hired artist manager Paul Everett as Head of Music Partnerships. In the newly created role, Everett will develop and implement the company's music strategy. Based in Eventbrite's London office, he will oversee and build upon relations with venues, promoters, artists and managers to better serve this fast-growing part of Eventbrite's business.

Everett's career began at the Beggars Group in promotions. Since then he has held managerial positions at SuperVision Management Group and Proud2 at The O2. He is a director at artist management company Wonderland Management, a position that he continues to hold.

Commenting on his appointment, Paul Everett said: "Eventbrite is an incredible company and from a ticketing perspective, the technology is second to none. As the music landscapes shifts people are seeking a reliable, dynamic, scalable, and easy-to-use ticketing solution. I am very excited about the challenge ahead and looking forward to creating partnerships with progressive promoters, venues and artists."

Joel Crouch, General Manager for Eventbrite in the UK and Ireland, said: "Paul has demonstrated his tenacity and ability to deliver results throughout his career. His extensive experience and exceptional grasp of the music space will prove invaluable as we develop our core strategy to strengthen our presence in the music industry."

Secret Solstice Ticketing Partnership
Eventbrite's drive into the music space is further strengthened by a ticketing partnership with one of Iceland's largest music festivals, Secret Solstice (16-18 June, 2017) in Reykjavik. The multi-year deal names Eventbrite as the exclusive international ticketing platform for all global markets outside of Iceland. Thousands of fans from around the world flock to this unique festival near the Arctic Circle, where the sun never fully sets over Iceland's summer solstice weekend. The 2017 lineup will feature the Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, Richard Ashcroft, Dubfire, Pharoahe Monch and many more.

"We're excited to have partnered with Eventbrite to increase the reach of Secret Solstice in our fourth year for 2017", says Fred Olafsson, Secret Solstice's Festival Director.
"We're looking forward to the positive effect their platform and technology will have on our sales, helping us bring more international exposure and guests to our event in Iceland."

The announcement of Eventbrite's new Head of Music Partnerships and the Secret Solstice win come on the back of a new partnership with concert discovery platform Bandsintown and Eventbrite signing its latest large festival customer, The Newport Folk Festival in the US.
