Music Group (CMG), Atlanta-based hip-hop trio
Migos - whose second album through QCM, C U L T U R E, debuted at #1 on both Billboard's Top 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts less than three weeks ago - announced today that its future music will be released through QC and Motown/Capitol Records. The Migos/QC partnership with Motown/Capitol was announced today by the trio's members Quavo,
Takeoff and Offset, as well as QCM's CEO,
Pierre "Pee" Thomas, its COO,
Kevin "Coach K" Lee, CMG's Chairman and CEO Steve Barnett and Motown Records President Ethiopia Habtemariam.
Since emerging with its debut single, "Versace" in 2013,
Migos has risen to become one the most popular and acclaimed hip-hop groups worldwide. In addition to debuting at the top of the charts on February 6 with C U L T U R E, the trip also achieved a #1 single on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with "Bad and Boujee" on January 21. Migos' latest single, "
T-Shirt" is already in the Top 20 on the Hot 100 chart prior to its February 18 commercial release. The group's first U.S. tour of 2017 launched on Monday in
Santa Ana, CA.

Quality Control
Music was formed in March 2013 by partners
Thomas and Lee, who have developed a hand-picked roster of talent from the longtime rap hotbed of Atlanta. The company includes a radio and promotions staff, as well as publishing and management divisions. QCM is based in Atlanta on the city's West Side in headquarters that encompasses office spaces and recording studios. The company entered into a joint venture with CMG in 2015.
