New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Tommy Fleming is one of Ireland's finest solo singers and one of the most successful of his generation with a hugely successful international singing career. This brand new version of the classic track 'Wonderful World' features the legendary
Vince Gill and shows again Tommy's incredible talent for turning each song into his own.
The new album 'Stories - 25 Years Of Song' includes 32 tracks - some old, some new and some previously unreleased. It includes 'It Was Only Ever You', written by Tommy to coincide with the release of Kate Kerrigan's new book of the same name.
To mark the release Tommy will be touring the UK throughout March and into April. This follows last years tour of the musical 'Paddy' in which he starred and played out to sell out theatres across the UK and Ireland.
"His version of
Danny Boy is the best I have ever heard bar none.' - Eric Clapton
Tommy was born in Aclare Co. Sligo Ireland in 1971 and was the youngest of six children. He started singing while still at school and fronting his own local band. A chance encounter with Phil Coulter at a charity function near his home led to a big break onto the world stage where Tommy appeared as a guest singer on Phil's USA tour. This then led to Tommy entering into the music business as a solo artist.
He performs regularly in Australia where he has a multi-album deal with ABC and where he accompanied Elaine Paige on tour in November/December 2014. His unique talent has brought him worldwide recognition with several sell-out tours in Ireland, the UK, the US, and Japan and he is now critically acclaimed to be one of the worlds' finest singers.
"I hope he doesn't take up acting." - Liam Neeson
2015 marked the 10th Anniversary of the release of the live concert recording 'Voice of Hope'. The huge success of the concert is still evident to this day as following its release it has sold 1.5 million copies to date.
While Tommy's music may be difficult to classify, fans use such words as "deeply emotional, romantic and sincere" to describe the feelings it evokes. One review described his music as falling into a genre of
Symphonic Pop that still awaits a name.
A
Tommy Fleming concert is a musical experience not to be missed with one song more haunting than the other. He has a universal appeal to all ages and backgrounds with a fan base that continually grows and grows worldwide year by year.
