Kenny Aronoff Selected As House Drummer For Star-studded Televised Merle Haggard Tribute In Nashville
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff has been selected as the house drummer for "Sing Me Back Home, The Music of Merle Haggard", taking place on Tuesday, April 6th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The All-Star line-up includes John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kenny Chesney, Billy Gibbons, Toby Keith, and many more. Aronoff has performed or recorded with many of these artists before and previously honored Merle Haggard at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2010.

Kenny, whose recently released best-selling autobiography, Sex, Drums, Rock 'n' Roll, is accurately sub-titled The Hardest Hitting Man in Show Business, is known for his on- stage and studio performances with John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, The Rolling Stones, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Sting, Lady Gaga, Jon Bon Jovi, Elton John, and a host of others.

With a style of playing that combines power and finesse, Aronoff, arguably the most sought
after drummer today, has a unique and versatile sound that has been instrumental on over 60 GRAMMY-nominated or awarded recordings representing over 300 million units in sales, with more than 1,300 that were RIAA certified Gold, Platinum or Diamond.
