The Sweeps - Missing Pieces

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Germany's favorite boutique label Emerald & Doreen and Hamburg's Synth Pop Disco Legends „The Sweeps" team up to deliver a retrospective of the bands' early years. For the first time ever three of the band's earlier legendary albums are being digitally released. MISSING PIECES is the first release of this retrospective trilogy:

After their debut album ECLECTIC ELECTRIC (November 2006) and its follow-up THE GREAT LIE ABOUT ETERNITY (December 2007)
2008 was a relatively quiet year for THE SWEEPS. However, it was the year the group started to flirt with Italo Disco and to add a more 80s overall sound to their music.
When MISSING PIECES was released in the summer of 2009, tracks as FACING THE NIGHT and ROMANTIC FOOL quickly turned into favs of the so called 'New Italo Disco Generation' - e.g., reworks of FACING THE NIGHT appeared on many compilations and vinyl throughout the following years.
