New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Chicago pop-punks BELMONT have debuted a new single titled "Water Weight."
"Water Weight" was recorded/mixed by Seth Henderson at ABG Studios and was produced by Dave Knox of Real Friends.
Guitarist Sam Patt says, "This song was new for us because the writing approach was way different. We tried to switch things up a bit while staying true to ourselves, we took a more collaborative approach to this song, and adding Dave Knox's influence pushed the song to new boundaries for us.
The lyrics hold personal meaning too; dealing with the passing of a loved one before you're personally ready is so difficult because life doesn't wait for you to be emotionally ready. It makes you take a step back and reevaluate what's important in your life, who and what you hold dear."
Hailed by Rock Sound Magazine as "Quite possibly the next great pop-punk band", BELMONT is poised to rise to the occasion with their latest album "Between You & Me". Following the recent trail blazed by local groups like Knuckle Puck and Real Friends, "Between You & Me" features songs that echo the sentiments of youth. Guitarist Sam Patt reinforces this notion by mentioning that "these songs come from an original place."
