New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, one of the most beloved songwriters of our day, multi-award-winning songwriter Liz Rose, releases her first solo album Swimming Alone. Rose's songs have won nearly every industry accolade including two GRAMMY awards, and have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
Rose is famous for her magical storytelling abilities and carrying listeners into her world -- whether we are sitting in the backseat of her mother's car on an afternoon outing during the moving "Grocery Money" or falling in and out of love with her in the tongue and cheek "Ex-husbands".
For the album, Rose collaborated with legendary producer Mac McAnally and an impressive list of close friends, including longtime co-writers and fellow Love Junkies Lori McKenna and Hillary Lindsey, as well as daughter Caitlin Rose.
Born and raised in Texas, Rose has penned numerous songs with Taylor Swift, including the #1 hit "You Belong with Me" and GRAMMY Award winning "
White Horse". More recently, she co-wrote
Little Big Town's double platinum smash hit, "
Girl Crush", which earned another GRAMMY for Best Country Song in 2016. She also won the ACM Song of the Year for Eli Young Band's "
Crazy Girl".
Rose has also written songs for top artists including Alison Krauss,
Blake Shelton, Bonnie Raitt, Carrie Underwood, Chris Young, Gary Allan, Lee Ann Womack,
Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw.
