Zoo Brazil Featuring Niara - 'Never Had' (Inc. Dirty South And Mark Fanciulli Remixes) Out Now Through Black Hole Recordings
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) What be this new voodoo that Zoo do then?! The answer, simply, is 'Never Had' - John 'Zoo Brazil' Andersson's sensational return to the dance music scene.

Two years since his last outing on Magik Musik, the alt-House supremo drops a surprise new production work into May's equation.

With Niara on vocals, Dirty South and Mark Fanciulli spiriting up its clubbier takes and Andersson instantly back at his refined best, 'Never Had' trumpets the Swede's long-awaited, threshold-of-summer return.

John's Original version is a master-class in the less-is-more school of house music making. Subtle of tempo, its cruising beats and recursive evocative melodies outline a track where every subsequent element introduced gets its time to shine. None, it must be said, more so than Niara's soul-filled vocals, which brook emotion into every corner of the tune.

Fresh off the back of 'I Swear' - his latest Anjunabeats outing, Dirty South squeezes 'Never Had's tempo pedal, allowing the track to address the dancefloor. Echoing and panning the song throughout, it brings the release greater groove and an altogether funkier angle. Stripping the production back a touch, Mark Fanciulli's beats, bass & perc assembly frames a darker, (albeit no less clubby) feel for the track. He dubs and loops Niara's vocal up to create a classically edged, later-night house cut, replete with the deliciously moody synth lines.

Track list:

01. 'Never Had' (Original Mix)
02. 'Never Had' (Dirty South Remix)
03. 'Never Had' (Mark Fanciulli Remix)
