Ice Cube Confirms 'Last Friday' Movie Sequel
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Ice Cube has confirmed that he is actually working on the fourth sequel in his Friday movie franchise. The legendary West Coast MC announced the fourth installment in the Friday franchise on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on Tuesday (May 16). "We're working on one right now," said Cube. "We're gonna call it Last Friday."

Last Friday follows the 1995 original and its subsequent sequels, 2000's Next Friday and 2002's Friday After Next.

Jason Derulo, who was also part of the interview, praised the original for its impact. "Friday was one of my favorite movies of all time," he said. "Literally, I would watch it every single Friday. It was that serious."

Cube has become a major box office draw with multiple film franchises, including Friday, Barbershop, Are We There Yet? and 21 Jump Street. Plus, next year, he's set to reprise his role as James Payton in Ride Along 3.

During the "Late Late Show" interview, Cube and Derulo also bonded over what their mothers thought of their controversial music. "[Moms] don't want you to do nothing until the money comes in," Cube said with a smile. "Then, you can do anything."
