New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Italian sound designer Andrea Bellavista was selected to take care of the sound in a feature film to enhance the breathtaking score by renowned composer Marco Scorsolini. Italian sound mixer Andrea has proven himself to be an outstanding addition to the Italian feature film " Calypso" a modern take on the fifth book of Homer, "Odyssey." The footage itself was shot in the desert somewhere between the Yucca Valley and Salton Sea in California which then had the sound added in Italy in post production.
The film produced in Italy has partnered with Luca Severi Production Group for the shots captured in the United States helping to bring a wider audience. The film is already receiving rave reviews with producer Michele Placido gaining 28 award nominations for the film at the Ferrara Film Festival in Italy which is attracting outstanding attention from the media so far. "I am thrilled to be able to work again next to these prominent Italian artists like Luca and Michele, this time in a unique scenery that is taking our creativity to a whole different level, each challenge faced in " Calypso" is a chance to amaze the spectator in an unexpected way".
Andrea has achieved national and international recognition for his sound design with over sixty projects and growing. He has worked as a technical consultant for "Lambda S.R.L", the leading company in Professional audio publications based in Italy at their US program for the last three years. He was then requested to work on the show "The Happiness Family" and the film " Calypso" for Charlot S.R.L. due to his remarkable talent and drive within the company.
His experience so far has been with Italian productions and he is excited to see what the future holds.
