New York, NY (Top40 Charts) M.I.A. has shared a new track 'GOALS' ahead of this year's Meltdown Festival. The event, which takes place at London's Southbank Centre, will begin on Friday (June 9). The rapper has curated its line-up and will perform on the festival's final night
Released on Wednesday (June 7), the hypnotic song features M.I.A.'s catchy vocals about love. "Relationship goals are you and me," she sings. "Fighting H-A-T-E with L-O-V-E."
"GOALS" was accompanied by a video of 3D GIFs. As the clip continues, M.I.A. keeps singing about affection. "Love is the answer," she adds. "What's the question? I don't know / Staring at the wall and I'm waiting for the call / You said, 'Pick up your receiver, I'll make you a believer.'"
Taking to YouTube, M.I.A. dedicated the song to her loyal supporters. "DEDICATED TO MY HARDCORE FANS THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNFALTERING DEDICATION AND SUPPORT," she wrote. "YOU HAVE GIVEN ME A SLIVER OF HOPE IN HUMANITY. STAY STRONG."
