New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Last summer, Swedish singer/songwriter
Daniel Norgren performed his first ever show in the US. Taking place in the wooded backdrop of Oregon's Pickathon Festival, the European folk-rock artist was largely unknown, but by the end of the festival he became the must-see act of the weekend following three sets in front of stunned audiences. Since then, his name has begun to spread stateside including notable praises from Paste Magazine, KEXP, Relix, and NPR
Music who described "blues-inflected guitar lines and a shop-worn voice that would put him at ease next to classic American songwriters like Bonnie Raitt."
As he gears up to return to the states for his first North American headline tour this Fall,
Daniel shares today a live video of "Are We Running Out Of Love?" captured during his performance on the Starlight Stage.
"Pickathon 2016 marked the Swedish singer/songwriter's first US apperance, and he definitely left an impression on those who were lucky enough to catch him," claimed Portland Mercury who presented the Starlight Series.
Daniel Norgren has built a notable career over the past 10 years in his home country and across much of Europe. The combination of a deep catalog and a live show that cuts to the core have been the fuel for a steadily-growing audience where fans are currently lucky to catch him at a venue smaller than 1,000 capacity. A multi-instrumentalist whose live performance includes guitar, piano, harmonica, and accordian, Norgren's sound is distinctly homegrown and authentic. His songs are incredibly powerful with a knack for catchy melodies and vocal harmonies that can easily stay around for weeks.
In May, Norgren made his US introduction with Skogens Frukter, a limited edition vinyl-only issue on marbled Northern
Lights colored vinyl available through Vinyl Me, Please. Skogens Frukter is an essential mix of past album favorites like "Are We Running Out of Love?," "Moonshine Got Me," and "Everything You Know Melts Away Like Snow" along with previously unreleased "People Are Good," as well as new ambient tracks "Where Are You Going?" and "Furry White."
Norgren's US tour will kick off on
September 22nd at Seattle's Tractor Tavern and continue across the country hitting LA's Troubadour, Chicago's Schubas, and NYC's Bowery Ballroom among others. He'll be joined by longtime music companion Anders Grahn and drummer Erik Berntsson as part of the live band.
