TORONTO, Canada (Coalition Records) Coalition Records / Warner Music Canada recording artists The Waking Eyes will hit the road in February for their first Canadian headlining tour. BenQ Presents the Video Sound Tour encompasses 10 shows beginning February 9 in Toronto and ending February 25 in Calgary. Joining The Waking Eyes will be The Marble Index and Boy.

"BenQ is proud to be involved with this concert series and support the continuous development of new Canadian artists," said Jimmy Davlouros, Vice President and General Manager for BenQ Canada. "We constantly strive for innovative ways to connect with our audience and demonstrate our ongoing commitment of bringing enjoyment and quality to life."

The Waking Eyes debut album, Video Sound, has already spawned one Top 10 track at Rock Radio ("Watch Your Money") and their current single, "Beginning," seems destined for the top of the charts as well. With a sound that is reminiscent of The Who and the Beatles with New Rock sensibilities, the Winnipeg-based band have already won audiences over as the opening act for bands such as The Trews, Sam Roberts and Collective Soul.

The band's Matt Peters commented, "It's an amazing feeling to be able to do the one thing we love the most playing shows. Plus having The Marble Index and Boy joining us will make for an awesome night. BenQ cares about supporting new bands like us and we are thrilled that they are with us for this tour."

BenQ has retained the services of Deep Sky Sound Marketing Ideas to be the focal point for pulling together the logistics of the Video Sound Tour. Deep Sky, whose specialty is in designing customized marketing solutions for advertisers, is a division of Corus Radio. As such, the Corus Radio stations, including Edge in Toronto, Y108 in Hamilton, Power 97 in Winnipeg and CFOX in Vancouver, will be an integral part of this innovative campaign to reach the mp3 consumer.
The Video Sound Tour represents a strong start in 2005 for a multi-layered marketing approach conceived between BenQ and Deep Sky. This campaign will significantly boost the consumer awareness of the BenQ brand while driving activity through BenQ's extensive dealer network.

All of the BenQ Presents the Video Sound Tour dates will be regularly ticketed shows except for the February 9 opening night performance at The Rivoli in Toronto. Tickets for the Toronto show are free exclusively by logging on to www.benq.ca or listening to Edge102. In each of the 10 tour destinations, concertgoers will have the chance to win a Joybee 130, BenQ's latest model of Digital Audio MP3 player
