Save Us From The Archon Releases "Melancholia" And Adds New Tour Dates
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) It can be difficult to convey feelings without words, but Save Us From The Archon proves with their latest album, "Melancholia," that it's possible to feel emotions using only music.
"Melancholia" is best described by Guitarist Andrew Cresto as a "love letter to depression" and his own struggle with it was the inspiration for the record. Cresto shared, "Melancholia explores the nature of depression on the subconscious over an extended period of time. Essentially a direct reflection of my feelings through sound, connected by loops and ethereal static. It's our most personal and powerful attempt to create unique music."
Every detail was well thought out and every note, lick, slide and grove that you hear is presisly where Cresto envisioned it when writing the new songs. The track listing itself is included as collectively the titles put together create phrases that encompass the emotional stages of depression, 'All I Want Is Sleep, Within Walls, Thread Between, Trancing Nostalgia, All I Want Is Light, Of Forgiveness, Until We Unfold, To Find Clarity, Lost In A Reverie, All I Want Is Endless.'
Save Us From The Archon kicked off their tour with The Ongoing Concept and Eidola that runs through 9/19.
"Melancholia" is available now on all major digital platforms with physical copies and exclusive merch at Merchbucket.

About Save Us From The Archon
Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Save Us From The Archon (SUFTA) has sculpted a unique sound that is, at once, aggressive, chaotic, heartfelt, and hypnotic. Fast paced angular progressions are counterbalanced by soothing mellow interludes. The broad dynamics are tied together by their progressive foundation with a distinct melodic sentiment. While SUFTA's compositions nod to influences spanning math rock, metal, and punk, their sound is unmistakable.
On their new album L'Eclisse, one will find no human voice. While many bands depend upon a vocalist to express their creative vision, no words are necessary for SUFTA. Their expressive writing and poignant playing tell a vibrant story all their own.
SUFTA remains true to their DIY ethic on L'Eclisse as they wrote, recorded, and produced the record themselves. But, to further expand upon their vision, they have enlisted help to bring this new offering to life. The record marks their debut for Tragic Hero Records. Anthony Calebretta (Protest the Hero, Intervals) is mixing and mastering.
Andrew Cresto (Guitar), Nelson Brooks (Guitar), Samantha Zunich (Bass), Devin Greig (Drums) have been playing together for several years and multiple albums, continually exploring their sound and refining their craft. Now, with L'Eclisse, SUFTA presents listeners with a snapshot of their latest evolution.
SUFTA's Tragic Hero debut was released on March 18th, 2016 and hit the Billboard New Artist Chart at Number 45. The band also was featured on Audio Tree which was Zunich's last performance with the band.
In 2017, SUFTA announced their new album, "Melancholia," would be released on August 18th. The record will be the first with bassist Bradley Treen who has been touring with the band since Zunich's departure.
