SALT LAKE CITY, UT. (Warner Bros. Records/Reprise Records) - Branden Steineckert, drummer for the Utah-based rock band The Used, has announced his latest endeavor, Twenty Twenty Skateboards, a skateboard company built out of a clear vision and passion for skating Steineckert has carried with him since his youth.
"I feel incredibly lucky to be able to start Twenty Twenty Skateboards," says Steineckert. "Skateboarding has been a huge part of my life, nearly all my life - I was skating before I ever picked up a drumstick! With the success
The Used has offered me, I've been able to realize a lifelong dream, and it's Twenty Twenty."
The company plans to roll out a signature skateboard deck as its initial offering, followed by a number of other designs in short succession. The initial skate-wares will be available for purchase online at www.twentytwentyskateboards.com as well as on the upcoming Taste Of Chaos Tour, which features The Used as the musical anchor.
"Twenty Twenty's mission is to offer a great product for a fair price, and there is no better way to demonstrate that than in person. That said, I'm absolutely stoked the company's presence will be felt on the upcoming TOC tour, it's a great way to introduce Twenty Twenty to the world," says Steineckert, who plans to spend plenty of time in the Twenty Twenty booth reaching out to the kids and explaining the brand philosophy. "I've met a lot of great people skating and performing over the years, and I plan to give a little back while on the road; it'll be fun!" adds Steineckert.
