Apollo Makes His Earthly Debut With Stunning Album "Skydive"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Very rarely does an album transcend the corporeal experience and rise into the metaphysical, but that's exactly the feeling that Vancouver's Apollo manages to capture on his premiere album, "Skydive." The album tells the story of Apollo as the sonic savior to our world, descending to Earth from another galaxy to spread positivity, peace and healing through music; his sound is distinctively and appropriately ethereal and utterly unique, captivating the listener and not releasing its hold until Apollo has conquered the world with light. From the melodic opening of the album's self-titled track, to the upbeat and empowering "Our Voices," to the funky and cathartic "Dominion," Apollo takes the listener on a true musical journey. A born artist himself, Apollo has always been influenced by synesthesia - the connection between sound and colors - and "Skydive" evokes soft, watercolor tones in the shades of the sky and sunset. "Skydive" is a complex and emotive masterpiece from the Canadian rising talent, one that indicates this certainly will not be the last you hear about him.

Joel Jasper is the instrumentalist, producer, and creative genius behind the Apollo project. Based in Vancouver, Jasper is no newcomer to the music scene - his love of all things musical began when he first picked up a guitar at the age of 13, then blossomed into a full-fledged career when he discovered electronic music during his time at university. He then began organizing music events in the Vancouver area and has opened for Hot Chip, Darius, Pomo, and more, as well as played the city's largest NYE party in both 2015 and 2016. He recently brought the essence of Apollo to life by throwing a party at the Vancouver Planetarium and transformed the venue in an astronomy theme; planetarium projections glowed on the domed theater screen and attendees danced in full costume while Jasper and two other DJs rocketed the party into the night. In his spare time, Jasper learned graphic design in order to make his own art to compliment his music, giving his fans a full-circle sights-and-sounds experience. From production to event curation to graphic design, Jasper's talent touches all aspects of what it means to be an artist in the modern electronic music scene. The name and concept for the project stemmed from Jasper's interest in Greek mythology and natural wellness and healing, and thus Apollo was born, conjuring images of celestial beauty and bliss. Apollo invites anyone who enjoys living outside of the box to join him on this journey and celebration of life through music.
