 NEW
YORK (www.epikonline.com) - Some things are just destined to be, and
EPIK, the 18 year old phenom out of Lorain, OH is headed for the top.
Ever since U.S Steel closed down its Lorain plant, the gritty small
city outside of Cleveland has struggled silently. Not anymore. Having
recently completed his first major single with The Game
(Aftermath/G-Unit Records) during which The Game co-signs him ("You
heard the muthaf-kin hype, I'm co-signing) EPIK's buzz is skyrocketing.
EPIK is scheduled to be featured in Murder Dog Magazine's "Top 10
Players to Watch in 2005," and is about to release a series of official
mixtapes hosted by DJ Mick Boogie, Cleveland's leading DJ and the
exclusive DJ for both the Cleveland Cavaliers and NBA superstar Lebron
James. The first tape, "Mick Boogie Presents: Somethin
EPIKVolume 1" is coming out this February and features some of the
hottest talents in the game, including G-Unit/Aftermath star The Game,
Aftermath Producer Focus, Stat Quo of Shady Records and several other
major surprise guests. EPIK, Steel City's Finest, is about to put
Lorain on the map. For more information and to hear EPIK, check out www.epikonline.com.
EPIK's tracks are currently on several national mixtapes, including the
latest DJ Mick Boogie mixtape hosted by Jadakiss, "The Dope Game,"
hosted by The Game, and a number of other nationally distributed
mixtapes. Look for EPIK every Saturday night on Cleveland's hottest
hip-hop station, 107.9.
