Yamaha Introduces Venova, A Casual Wind Instrument That's Ultra-Portable And Easy To Play
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) 'Designed to be an inexpensive and accessible alternative to traditional winds, the Venova's state-of-the-art design blends the simplicity of a recorder with the rich sound of a saxophone,' said Matt Kerns, Yamaha.

Yamaha today announced the Venova, an innovative, "casual wind instrument" that's compact, lightweight and most of all, fun. Offering a pleasing tone and recorder-style fingering, it's perfect for taking to the beach, on a camping trip, to a barbecue—virtually anywhere.

Created with innovative Yamaha technology, the Venova features a unique branched-pipe structure that gives it a bright and rich timbre with plenty of volume. Its ABS resin body is smaller, lighter and more durable than conventional wind instruments. You can even get it wet—it's water washable and easy to clean.

Like a saxophone or clarinet, the Venova is a single-reed instrument that produces different sound nuances depending on how you blow it. It's capable of playing everything from powerful passages to beautiful soft, expressive melodies.

Easy, recorder-style fingering makes it ideal for beginners and novices, while more experienced players will appreciate the musical possibilities provided by its fully chromatic two-octave range.

The versatile Venova is great for just about any musical situation. Play it casually with friends, bring it along to jam sessions or even take it on stage. The common denominator is fun: no matter where or when, it's a joy to play.

"Yamaha breaks new ground with the innovative and unique Venova Casual Wind Instrument," says Matt Kerns, marketing manager, B&O Accessories, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Designed to be an inexpensive and accessible alternative to traditional winds, the Venova's state-of-the-art design blends the simplicity of a recorder with the rich sound of a saxophone. The result is a fun-to-play instrument that's equally at home in the hands of an experienced player or a complete beginner!"

The Venova comes with a mouthpiece, a synthetic reed, a mouthpiece cap, and a durable carrying case with a strap.

Pricing and Availability
The Venova has an MSRP of $129.99 and will be available in the United States beginning September 2017. For further information, please visit https://4wrd.it/venova
