DERBY, N.Y. (New Era Cap Company/ www.neweracap.com) - New Era Cap Company, Inc., the premier, global headwear designer, developer and manufacturer, announced that it will launch two Capture the Flag 59FIFTYs this Thursday, January 27. January is a double header month for the New Era Capture the Flag, Celebrity designed headwear series highlighted by 59FIFTY designs by Atlantic Records Rapper
Fat Joe and Snowboarder Marc Frank Montoya; only 288 caps will be made of each design.
Just as the title of his forthcoming album says, it was "All or Nothing" for Latino Rapper Fat Joe when it came down to designing his own New Era 59FIFTY! Frequently spotted in videos or just chilling in New York/Miami wearing a New Era fitted, Fat Joe had a very specific concept for his 59FIFTY: it had to represent his home town, pay homage to two of his friends and stand out with great style, and it does.
Fat Joe's New Era 59FIFTY is a black faux suede cap that touts Joe's Terror Squad logo, "TS," on the front panel emblazoned in orange and blue on the front panel; in lieu of its New York Knicks theme. The front panel also features, on the lower left-wear side, the number and embroidered signature of Knicks Guard Stephon Marbury, a close friend of the rapper. Rear embroidery holds a Hardwood Classic New York Knicks logo in team colors; and the cap is topped off with right-wear side tribute to Rapper Big Pun reading "Big Pun 4-Eva." Other cap features include an under-visor embroidered "Joey Crack TS" signature, double X-piping in orange and blue, and a black satin lining.
"I have been rocking New Era fitteds for as long as I can remember, so it was just right that we came together to work on my own design for a 59FIFTY fitted," said Fat Joe about this project. "For me it is about representing for Terror Squad, Pun, Steph and for New York of course! Once all that was taken care of, and it was stylish, it was all good."
"All Or Nothing", (Atlantic Records), Fat Joe's 6th solo album is dropping on April 26th. This album features the production talents of Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Cool & Dre, Just Blaze, Scott Storch and more. With the release of the Just Blaze produced track "Safe 2 Say" Fat Joe is continuing his plot of bringing NY hip-hop back while at the same time securing his spot as the King of NY hip-hop.
Joining Fat Joe for the January launch is Snowboarder Marc Frank Montoya's who brings his love for snowboarding and skating boarding to the celebrity designed fitteds; cap description available at https://www.59FIFTYat50.com.
