New York, NY (Top40 Charts) After breaking the internet with a Metallica cover which racked up over 30 million views in a week, UK-based virtuoso guitarist Mike Dawes is pleased to reveal another stunning cover video of John Mayer's hit 'Slow Dancing in a Burning Room' featuring a sublime guest solo from acclaimed Canadian guitarist Nick Johnston.

The track is the latest to be taken from Dawes' long-awaited second solo album ΞRΛ which is out now on all good digital retailers via Qten Records. He will also be hitting the road on a run of UK tour dates throughout September/October 2017 in support of the record with Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues.

Commenting on working with Johnston, Dawes states: "I'd been a fan of Nick for quite some time after discovering his videos on Instagram, so when I decided on a guest spot for 'Slow Dancing…' he was at the top of my list and graciously agreed. We were both in LA for NAMM earlier this year and thought it'd be great to shoot this video together. Interestingly, the last gig I played was at the Roxy in LA with Nick, it was so much fun to share a bill and jam this tune together in real life!"

Hailed by many as one of the world's finest and most creative modern fingerstyle guitarists, Dawes' acclaimed solo music has gained millions of hits on popular video sharing sites. The 10 tracks on new album ΞRΛ are comprised of 7 original pieces and an additional 3 immaculately arranged covers, and celebrates a stunningly musical and technical maturity. Quite simply, 'Era' redefines what can be expected of a solo musician on a single instrument, performing melody, bass, harmony, percussion and much more, in a dynamic and emotionally engaging context.

He has recorded with and taught multiple grammy winning artists, appeared on film and TV soundtracks (including Sky TV's Guitar Star, and Better Call Saul) released apps, written for the world's best-selling music magazines and, in addition to his solo work, currently performs alongside and in support of the legendary frontman of The Moody Blues, Justin Hayward, the debut live DVD of which entered the US Billboard charts at #2.
