New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Acclaimed singer/songwriter Jackie Greene will perform in-the-round with some of the most respected names in American roots music on October 18th, when he joins Steve Earle, Joan Osborne, Steve Forbert, Anders Osborne, and special guest Jason Crosby for the Blue Rose Foundation Benefit Concert. Held this year at Red Bank, NJ's historic Count Basie Theater, this one-of-a-kind event will feature all six artists onstage together for the first time, swapping stories and singing songs in an intimate, acoustic setting. All proceeds from the show will go to benefit the Monmouth Day Care Center, a local non-profit serving children and families seeking quality childcare, without regard to race, religion, ethnicity or economic status. The show comes hot on the heels of Greene's debut release for Blue Rose Music, 'The Modern Lives - Vol 1.' which found Paste hailing his "insightfulness and quick wit" and Billboard praising his "rootsy, blues-tinged" songwriting. Recorded and produced by Greene in Brooklyn, the six-song collection draws inspiration from some of the great social paradoxes of our 21st-century world: that the technology designed to simplify our lives can actually complicate them in ways we'd never imagined, that the most crowded cities can actually be the loneliest places to live, that the constructs meant to connect us to each other can actually leave us feeling more isolated than ever. Most recently, Greene has partnered with Academy Award-nominated "king of indie animation" Bill Plympton to create a series of music videos inspired by the songs.

Following the Blue Rose Benefit Concert, Greene and Anders Osborne will hit the road for four weeks on their "Sitting Around, Singing Some Songs - Tourgether Fall 2017."

About Jackie Greene:
Since the release of his critically-acclaimed debut album Gone Wanderin', Jackie Greene has built an endearing audience through a relentless touring schedule that's found him sharing bills with the likes of BB King, Mark Knopfler, Susan Tedeschi, and TajMahal. While Greene's songwriting chops are more than enough to place him in a league of his own (the NY Times called him "the Prince of Americana" and NPR's World Café raved that his "sound seems at once achingly intimate, surprisingly energetic and unburdened by adherence to genre"), Greene has also emerged as a singular singer and guitarist, prompting Rolling Stone to praise his "honeyed tenor" and name him among "the most notable guitarists from the next generation of six-string legends." In just the last four years, he has played lead guitar with The Black Crowes on their Layin' Down With #13 World Tour, recorded and toured with Trigger Hippy—his supergroup with Joan Osborne—and performed over 250 shows of his own, all while continuing to record and release his critically acclaimed solo work. Jackie is a frequent member of Phil Lesh & Friends and sits in with countless other artists including Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov't Mule, North Mississippi Allstars, Amy Helm, Steve Earle, and Bob Weir. MDCC is dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating environment in which children are nurtured and challenged intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. About Blue Rose Foundation:
