Copticon Music Presents "One Percent More Humid" Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Copticon Music will release the ONE PERCENT MORE HUMID - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on October 10th. The album features the movie's original score by Nathan Halpern (RICH HILL, THE WITNESS, HOOLIGAN SPARROW) featuring an original song "Calling to Me" with music and lyrics by Nathan Halpern and vocals by Emily Forsythe.

"ONE PERCENT MORE HUMID is a coming-of-age film with love & grief experienced through the eyes of the two young women at the heart of the story, played beautifully by Juno Temple and Julia Garner," remarks Halpern.

"We wanted to evoke that feeling where drunken summertime love and pain co-mingle in a personal journey. Musically, this was expressed with a melancholic, romantic piano motif representing the sensitive striving of our characters towards self-discovery. I set these sounds against churning, distorted tones of anguish, fluttering harps and strings of sexual excitement, and abstract, reflective sounds to evocative of longing and loss.

We also did an original song for the end credits - "Calling to Me" - to give a really direct voice to the film's themes of yearning, grief, and love. Emily Forsythe has a haunting voice and sings the piece with an ethereal tenderness. We wanted it to play both as a song the characters might listen to - it actually plays out of a bedroom stereo during one pivotal scene - as well as one that emerged out of their subjective experiences, a song they might have written themselves," says Halpern.
