New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Yep Roc Records is excited to announce that acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Alejandro Escovedo has been added to the Yep Roc 20 lineup, joining Nick Lowe, Dave Alvin, Chuck Prophet and many others. Alejandro will kick things off at the Cat's Cradle Friday October 20 at 8PM, with a special performance featuring many notable guests.
"I am looking forward to seeing some old friends and making some new ones when I perform at the Yep Roc 20th anniversary celebrations in North Carolina next weekend," says Alejandro. "See you there."
Yep Roc 20 begins next
Thursday October 19 and continues through Saturday October 21. The festival will feature a three-night takeover of The Cat's Cradle, as well as a free outdoor show in Yep Roc's hometown of Hillsborough, featuring Mandolin Orange, Jim Lauderdale and
Tony Joe White (10/21, beginning at noon).
Yep Roc has come together with an array of locally owned businesses to bring these 20th anniversary festivities to fruition, marking the event as a true celebration of the North Carolina Research Triangle and its bountiful emerging arts scene. Yep Roc's partners will include Mystery Brewing Co, who have created a specially-branded Yep Roc 20 beer for the event, local food vendors and North Carolina public radio stations WHUP and WUNC.
