New York Philharmonic Comes To Queens + 11.05
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The New York Philharmonic Ensemble heads to Queens for an intimate performance during their 34th season.
They'll perform on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 3pm at the LeFrak Concert Hall, of the Kupferberg Center for the Arts.

The renowned ensemble will play Beethoven's 'Octet for Winds,' as well as two World War II-composed works, Dmitri Shostakovich's 'Piano Quintet,' which premiered in Moscow in 1940, and Gideon Klein's 'String Trio,' composed in the Terezin Concentration Camp in 1941.

The performance will honor the legacy of Klein, a Jewish Czech pianist virtuoso who wrote music and gave concerts throughout his stay at TerezĂn (one of the only camps where artistic activity was permitted).

Kupferberg Center for the Arts celebrates 10 years of dedication to bringing music, art and culture to the borough's 2.3 million residents. Past performances include Jerry Seinfeld, David Bowie, Piano Guys, Patti LaBelle, Johnny Mathis, Victor Manuelle, Cesar Millan, El Gran Combo, and many more.
